EGGS 2020 cancelled

2020-03-10 17:35

Dear all

With great sadness, we have reached the difficult decision to cancel the
Evolutionary Genetics and Genomics Symposium (EGGS) of 17 March 2020. We
are really sorry for the inconvenience that this may cause.

We do not want to risk spreading the coronavirus. Bringing people from
different locations in close proximity does not seem to be appropriate
at this time.

Please note, that the symposium on speciation genomics which was
originally planned to be held the day before EGGS has been postponed to
August.

Everyone who was scheduled to give a talk at EGGS is warmly invited to
speak at the next EGGS. We will get back to you about the date.

Your attendance fee will automatically be paid back to your account but
it might take some time as the esales team is currently processing a
large number of cancelled events.

Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions.

Best wishes,
Joana, Chris, Frank, Arun

Genomics and Evolutionary Genetics Club – Apr 12, 2018

The Genomics and Evolutionary Genetics club provides a forum for researchers from universities and research institutes in the Cambridge area to meet and discuss their research. The topics will cover both genomics and evolutionary biology.  The informal meetings involve two talks of about 20 minutes followed by questions, and afterwards there will be the chance to stay and talk over a beer or soft drink. The meetings are once or twice a term in the Department of Genetics tea room or the adjacent teaching room at 4pm.

The first meeting will be on April 12, 2018. Details found here.
